❓ Where is Merac Dubai located?

We are based in Dubai, UAE, and serve clients across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and the wider Emirates. Our team can visit your site for surveys, installation, and maintenance.

❓ Do you supply only, or do you also install?

We do both. We can supply products for your own team to install, or we can handle full supply and installation. We also offer after-sales maintenance and AMC contracts.

❓ How quickly can I get a quote?

❓ Do you work with contractors and B2B clients?

Yes. A large part of our business is B2B — we regularly supply to main contractors, fit-out companies, facility management firms, aluminum fabricators, and property developers. We offer trade pricing and credit terms for qualifying accounts.

❓ Can you service systems you didn’t supply?

Yes. Our technicians are trained across all major brands. We can take over maintenance of existing systems regardless of who originally installed them.

Automatic Doors

❓ What types of automatic doors do you supply?

We supply automatic sliding doors, swing doors, folding doors, hermetic doors (for hospitals and cleanrooms), and telescopic doors. We carry brands including ASSA ABLOY, Dormakaba, GILGEN, PORTALP, GEZE, Tormax, BFT, and our own MERAC brand.

❓ How long does automatic door installation take?

A standard automatic sliding door installation typically takes 1–2 days depending on the opening size and site conditions. Larger or more complex installations may take longer. We’ll give you a clear timeline when you request a quote.

❓ Do automatic doors require regular maintenance?

Yes. We recommend servicing at least twice a year. High-traffic doors (retail, hospitals, hotels) should be serviced quarterly. Our AMC plans cover scheduled servicing and emergency callouts.

CCTV & Surveillance

❓ Are your CCTV systems Sira approved?

Yes. We supply Sira-approved CCTV cameras and systems that comply with Dubai Police and Security Industry Regulatory Agency (Sira) requirements. This is mandatory for commercial properties in Dubai.

❓ How many cameras do I need for my property?

The number of cameras depends on the size of your property, the areas you need to cover, and local regulatory requirements. We offer free site surveys to assess your needs and recommend the right system.

❓ Can I view my CCTV remotely on my phone?

Yes. All our IP camera systems support remote viewing via mobile apps (iOS and Android). We set this up during installation and show you how to use it.

Parking Barriers & Boom Gates

❓ Can parking barriers be integrated with access control or ANPR?

Yes. We regularly integrate parking barriers with access cards, remote controls, vehicle loop detectors, and ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) cameras for fully automated car park management.

❓ What happens to the barrier during a power cut?

Most barriers we supply have a manual release function and can be connected to a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to remain operational during power outages. We’ll advise the best option for your site.

AMC & Maintenance

❓ What is an AMC and do I need one?

An Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) is a service agreement that covers regular preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for your systems. If your building relies on automatic doors, barriers, or CCTV for security and daily operations, an AMC is strongly recommended to avoid costly breakdowns.

❓ How much does an AMC cost?

AMC pricing depends on the type, number, and age of your systems. Contact us with details of your equipment and we’ll prepare a tailored proposal. We offer both labour-only and comprehensive (parts + labour) AMC options.

❓ How fast is your emergency response?

For AMC clients, we prioritise emergency callouts and aim to respond within 4–8 hours during business hours. Response times may vary based on location and availability of parts.
